Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of AI Metadata Remover. By using the website or tool, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these terms where you live. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf. The service is not directed to children under 13 or a higher minimum age required by applicable law.
Service Description
AI Metadata Remover provides a browser-based tool for inspecting and removing supported metadata from JPG, PNG, and WebP image files. The current tool processes selected files locally in your browser and does not send their contents to our project servers through that workflow.
The tool currently supports up to 10 images per batch, 10 MB per file, and 50 MB per batch. It can identify and clean supported metadata structures while preserving image payloads and display-critical information when its checks confirm a safe result. Warnings, unsupported structures, or verification failures may prevent a download.
The current public release is free to access and does not provide accounts, cloud history, or server-side image processing.
Your Files and Lawful Use
You remain responsible for every file you select and every use you make of the service or a processed result. You must have the legal right to use each file and comply with applicable laws, contracts, confidentiality duties, privacy obligations, and third-party rights.
Do not use the service to conceal unlawful conduct, misrepresent ownership or provenance, evade a legal duty, interfere with an investigation, or violate another person's rights.
Review of Results
Metadata formats, image containers, editing software, and external provenance systems vary. A processed file may still contain information the tool cannot safely identify or remove, including information stored outside the file or represented in visible pixels.
Review the inspection report, warnings, and verification result before publishing, transferring, archiving, or otherwise relying on a processed file. Keep an appropriate backup of the original file whenever its original content or metadata may be important.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- use the website or tool for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive activity;
- attempt to bypass security controls, access non-public systems, or test the service without authorization;
- disrupt the website, introduce malicious code, automate abusive traffic, or impose an unreasonable load;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use the service in a way that violates privacy, intellectual property, contractual, or other legal rights.
Intellectual Property
Your local files remain yours. Selecting them for local processing does not give us ownership of their contents.
The website, interface, documentation, branding, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and may be protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service as provided for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the service or authorize use of our branding as your own.
Third-Party Services
The website may rely on third-party hosting, content delivery, security, diagnostics, email, or optional analytics infrastructure. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for an independently operated website or service merely because the website links to it or uses it as infrastructure.
Service Availability and Changes
Service availability is not guaranteed. We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or tool, including file limits and supported metadata structures, for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We are not required to preserve access to a particular version or feature.
Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or block access when we reasonably believe use of the service violates these terms, threatens security or availability, creates legal risk, or harms other users or third parties. You may stop using the service at any time.
Sections that by their nature should continue after access ends, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and responsibility for prior use, remain effective to the extent applicable.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every file, or able to identify or remove every kind of metadata or provenance information. No inspection result replaces your own review, professional advice, or compliance obligations.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, reputation, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent the law permits. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so part of this section may not apply to you.
Mandatory Rights
These terms do not limit consumer, privacy, or other rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be applied only to the maximum extent permitted without invalidating the remaining provisions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date. By continuing to use the service after revised terms take effect, you agree to the updated terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
