Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of AI Metadata Remover. By using the website or tool, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Service Description
AI Metadata Remover provides a browser-based tool for inspecting and removing metadata from compatible image files. The current tool processes selected images locally in your browser; image content is not uploaded to our project servers through that workflow. Features, supported formats, and processing behavior may change as the service develops.
Your Files and Lawful Use
You remain responsible for every file you select and every use you make of the service. You must have the legal right to use each file and must comply with applicable laws, contracts, privacy obligations, and third-party rights. Do not use the service to conceal unlawful conduct or to interfere with investigations, legal duties, or the rights of others.
Review of Results
Metadata formats and image software vary, and a processed file may still contain information that the tool does not detect or remove. You must inspect and verify the results before publishing, transferring, archiving, or otherwise relying on a processed file. Keep an appropriate backup if you need to preserve the original file or its metadata.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- use the website or tool for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing activity;
- attempt to bypass security controls, access non-public systems, or probe the service without permission;
- disrupt the website, send malicious code, automate abusive traffic, or impose an unreasonable load on the service;
- reverse engineer or misuse the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use the service in a way that violates another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights.
Intellectual Property
The website, interface, documentation, branding, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited right to use the service as provided; they do not transfer ownership of the service. Your local files remain yours, and selecting them for local processing does not by itself grant us rights in their content.
Service Availability and Changes
Service availability is not guaranteed. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the website or tool, including supported file formats, for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We are not obligated to preserve access to a particular version or feature.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every file, or able to identify or remove every type of metadata. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent the law permits. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date on this page when we make changes. Your continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.
