Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Metadata Remover handles information when you visit the website, use the image metadata tool, or contact us. It applies to the current public service and not to websites or services operated independently by other parties.
AI Metadata Remover is the public identity used for this service. If you have a privacy question or request, you can reach us through the contact details at the end of this policy.
Local Image Processing
The current tool inspects and cleans supported JPG, PNG, and WebP files locally in your browser. Your selected image contents stay on your device during this workflow and are not transmitted to our project servers. We do not receive a server-side copy of those images, their embedded metadata, or the cleaned files produced for download.
The tool currently accepts up to 10 images in one batch, with limits of 10 MB per file and 50 MB per batch. These limits are enforced in the browser and do not change the local-processing boundary.
Visiting the website still creates ordinary network requests needed to deliver pages, scripts, fonts, images, and security responses. Those website requests are separate from the contents of files you select for local processing.
Information We Handle
We may handle the following limited categories of information:
- Support information: your email address, message, and any other details you choose to include when contacting us.
- Technical request information: requested pages, approximate request time, browser and device characteristics, referring page, network information such as an IP address, and security or diagnostic events generated while delivering the website.
- Optional analytics information: audience, page-use, interaction, and performance measurements collected when optional analytics is configured. This category does not include the images or embedded metadata you process locally.
Please do not include image files, passwords, government identifiers, financial details, or other sensitive information in a support message unless it is necessary for us to understand your request.
How We Use Information
We use limited website and support information to:
- provide, maintain, and secure the website;
- enforce technical limits and prevent abuse;
- diagnose errors and improve reliability or usability;
- understand general audience and performance trends when optional analytics is configured;
- answer support, privacy, or legal requests; and
- comply with obligations that apply to the service.
Depending on the law that applies, these activities may be based on providing the service you request, our legitimate interest in operating a secure and useful website, consent where it is required and implemented, or compliance with a legal obligation.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use selected image contents to train models, build advertising profiles, or create a cloud image history.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website may use necessary browser storage or similar technologies for delivery, security, and remembering a notice acknowledgement. Optional analytics technologies are separate from the local image workflow and may operate when analytics is configured. Browser controls can be used to block or delete website storage without changing how selected images are processed locally.

Service Providers and International Processing
We may use service providers for hosting, content delivery, security, diagnostics, email delivery, and optional website analytics. They may process ordinary website or support information only as needed to provide their services, subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.
Because internet infrastructure may operate in more than one country, this limited information can be processed outside the country where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on the protections available for the relevant service and processing relationship. The local image workflow does not require selected image contents to be transferred to these providers.
Data Retention
Selected image contents and cleaned output files never reach project servers through the current workflow, so no server-side copy is available for us to retain.
Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Routine request, security, diagnostic, and optional analytics records are kept according to operational need and the configured retention controls of the relevant infrastructure. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless longer retention is required by law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited information handled by the service. No website, browser, device, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You remain responsible for protecting the original files and device under your control.
Children's Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13 or a higher minimum age where local law requires one. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has sent information through a support message or ordinary website interaction, contact us so we can review and address it.
Your Choices and Rights
You can clear the stored notice acknowledgement, block or delete browser data through your browser settings, and decide what information to include in a support message.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection concerning personal information we hold. You may also be able to withdraw a consent choice or complain to the data protection authority available in your location. These rights are not absolute, and we may need enough information to verify and respond to a request.
