Privacy Policy

How AI Metadata Remover handles website data while image processing stays in your browser.

Effective date: August 13, 2026.

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Metadata Remover handles information when you visit the website or use its image metadata inspection and removal tool. It applies to the current web service and does not cover websites or services operated independently by other parties.

Local Image Processing

Image inspection and metadata removal happen locally in your browser. Image content is not uploaded to or processed by our project servers through the current tool workflow. Selecting a file does not give us a copy of that file, and closing or refreshing the page leaves management of the local file to your device and browser.

Visiting the website still creates ordinary network requests needed to deliver pages and assets. Those requests are separate from local image processing and may create routine request logs as described below.

Information We Handle

We may handle limited information in these circumstances:

  • Information you provide when you contact us: your email address, message, and any other details you choose to include in a support request.
  • Basic technical and usage information: requested pages, approximate request time, browser or device type, referring page, IP-derived network information, and diagnostic events that may appear in hosting, security, or request logs.
  • Optional analytics: aggregate or pseudonymous usage measurements may be collected if analytics are enabled. We do not describe optional analytics as necessary for the local image tool to work.

Please do not send image files or sensitive personal information in a support message unless it is necessary for your request.

How We Use Information

We may use the limited information described above to deliver and secure the website, diagnose errors, understand general service usage, prevent abuse, respond to messages, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website may use strictly necessary storage or cookies for basic delivery, security, and user choices. Optional analytics may use cookies or similar technologies only when that functionality is configured. For more detail and browser choices, see our Cookie Policy.

Third-Party Infrastructure

We may rely on third-party hosting, content delivery, security, and optional analytics infrastructure to operate the website. Those providers may receive ordinary web request information when they deliver their services, subject to their own terms and privacy practices. The current local-processing workflow does not require us to send selected image content to those providers.

Data Retention

Because selected image content is not received by our project servers, we do not retain it there. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain appropriate records, or meet legal obligations. Routine security, diagnostic, and analytics records are retained according to operational need and the settings of the relevant infrastructure provider.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. No website or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting the files and device that remain under your control.

Children's Privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support message or ordinary website interaction, please contact us so we can review the situation.

International Access

You may access the website from a country different from the locations where our infrastructure providers operate. As a result, ordinary website information may be processed in other jurisdictions whose data protection rules differ from those in your location.

Your Choices and Rights

You can limit optional cookies through browser settings and choose what information to include when contacting us. Depending on your location, applicable law may provide rights concerning personal information we hold. We may need enough information to verify and respond to a request.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date on this page when we make changes.
